Art Lectures Season 2016/2017 by Serena Spinelli: Classically Modern.
Come to Serena's art historical lectures to explore the wonderful world of art.
Theme: Manet, the Impressionist credo and modern Paris

The Manet exhibition at the Royal Palace is coming soon and as we prepare to meet with this illustrious representative of the Impressionist group, our mind rushes to visions of waterlilies, powdery, speckled and picturesque landscapes, fluttering greens and light filled skies. With its social and cultural effervescence, its grand boulevards, lively cafés and international exhibitions revealing the latest scientific and technological feats of the era the city was the center of a new modern intellect. The ideas which were to radically change European culture and give rise to the first important “ism” in the history of art were conceived in Paris. Join us as we review the main protagonists and set the stage of the this endlessly fascinating story!
