Our first charity for the 2011-2012 Benvenuto calendar year, is Il Ponte del Sorriso.  They are an organisation that gathers funds in order to build in Varese a special  Children’s Hospital of the type that there are only 9 in Italy. They also assist children of all ages to have fun while being treated, as they believe that a child that can laugh and smile will heal much faster.  We will be helping to buy items for the children’s neuropsychiatry, speech therapy, physical therapy, and motor skills therapy. These things will be useful to stimulate the children physically and psychologically.

Our second charity for the year is Associazione Antares of Varese.  

Antares has been operating for many years with children that have various problems such as physical disability, and/or family psychological and emotional difficulties.  Antares organises activities to help children socialise and integrate with other children from all over the Province of Varese. During the summer, Antares  even  organises holidays for children.
