In December we visited the unique German Christmas market at Nuremberg.
What a day! First we had to master Varese's snowy weather conditions and a bumpy flight (we felt like heroes when we arrived in Nuremberg, however, "Air Benvenuto" was on schedule - at least in the morning). Nevertheless, everyone in our group was in a very good mood and I think we all enjoyed our stay in Germany's Christmas City No 1. We visited the unique Christmas market, we saw traditional handicrafts of the medieval time in the "Handwerkerhof", we had a guided tour to the medieval Castle and enjoyed typical German food in the characteristic "Heilig Geist Spital"-restaurant (building from the 14th century). Some of us also used the afternoon for hefty shopping in the lovely city centre and therefore we came home with lots of nice memories and presents for our family members |
